Finding Ways To Carry On The Journey
A Short - Autobiography!
I have had a life long focus on physical, spiritual, cultural and mental wellness. Learning lots a long the way from some inspirational teachers, children, animals, people and environments.
My life to date has been a labyrinth of experiences, interests and events that have challenged and inspired my philosophy of how to live with wonky biology and as much internal balance whilst navigating a complicated, stressful and fast paced world.
Combining my studies with my lived experience of mental disorder and recovery provides me with an enriched catalogue of ideas, strategies and practical solutions that I share readily with those I come into contact with.
I live authentically and can often be found padding about in my socks, walking, kayaking, photographing or singing in close group harmony.
I know myself in a deep and sophisticated way. I am a veteran psychotherapy client and have challenged my limitations in order to test my capacity and improve my perspective of who I am.
As a result I have become comfortable with myself and this translates in the therapy room as calmness and an openness to meet you where you are and hear you, not just listen.
Taking the opportunity in late 2019, I opened my own practice to treat and support people who are seeking relief and balance in their day to day lives. Enabling me to share my knowledge and skills in the form of counselling and psychotherapy.
I continue to develop my practice and I completed my Masters dissertation in Equine Psychotherapy. You can find the interesting part of it on this website.
I look forward to working with you.
